November Stack-a-Holic challenge

Oh hey there everybody! Super sorry it's been so long since I have been here. But I super pinky promise that I have a very good reason. A reason that will be revealed in today's layout. I really truly haven't had time the last two months to scrap so it was amazing finally getting a chance to do a couple layouts and hopefully I can get a few more done but things hectic for the holiday season. So anywho here is this month's sketch from DCWV.
I really love this sketch and definetly will be using this one on future layouts. And here is my take on the sketch and the reason I haven't been scrapping lately.
Surprise! I am a master secret keeper and was able to keep from Michael for a couple weeks that I was pregnant. Definetly helped that I didn't have any morning sickness or anything and that he was out of town for most of the time leading up to vacation. My ultimate goal was to tell him in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disneyland and mission complete! I told the photographer my plan to reveal the Mickey ears to him and she was able to capture his reaction!
So to the layout now. I used DCWV Marquee stack. This just came out a few months ago and I knew as soon as I saw the papers that it would be perfect for Disneyland photos! Especially since it is celebrating its Diamond Celebration. It was even more perfect when I finally got a chance to see it in person. Love how the papers have that perfect amount of sparkle and the colors are just to die for. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will eventually buy this stack again because I'm going to be using these papers a lot.

So that's it for now. Like I said I have time to do some scrapping now so I should get a few more layouts done before the holidays begin. We have been busy with the nursery which is pretty much completed. We have the walls painted, and the furniture bought. The only thing left is to build the crib and then add the little details. Here is a picture of the nursery.
Our theme for it is Monsters Inc for our little boy :) He is due March 20th and we have a name picked out but it's a secret until he is born ;)
That's it for now. Until next time!!

August Stack a Holic Challenge.

Good morning everyone!! Hope everyone's summer has been going fantastic! As for me I have been doing tons of scrapping and the last few days have been busy canning.
We bought 50 pounds of apples- which we have made applesauce, Apple butter and apple chips, 30 pounds of peaches- which are just going to can in sugar water, and 50 pounds of corn which is going to be cooked up and frozen.
So anywho onto this month's DCWV challenge. Here is the sketch.
This was one that I had a pretty good idea of what direction I wanted to go with this. Here is my take on it.
For this layout I combined the two different Green stacks, which I love. These photos are from Animal Kingdoms Rafiki Watch. These little goats were having a blast playing on the playground.
It was extremely difficult to figure out a title for this layout. But in the end I thought this was a cute title choice... And the only one I came up with.
Well off to go freeze some corn.
Until next time!!

Happy 1 year of scrapping!!

Hey there gang! One year ago today is when I posted my first layout to Facebook. And here is the first one.
It's amazing how far I have if I do say so myself with over 200 layouts done within the year. And I love seeing some of my older ones because I have come such a long way with my layout designs. I use fancy things now like my Cricut and layering several different papers!
So I do have a couple layouts to share today also. Here is the first one.
This is when we went to Kennedy Space Center. We had so much fun there! In the museum part they had of course a replica toilet that they have on the space ships. And of course I needed a picture of Michael sitting on it. For this layout I used October Afternoon Rocket Age. I absolutely love this collection and it works so perfectly our pictures from Kennedy Space Center.
And since today is such a special occasion I shall share another layout!
For this I used Simple Stories Say Cheese and Say Cheese II.  And yes in that photo is little old me at the age of 8 with my giant Minnie. It was my prize Possession from my very first trip to Disney World. And in fact, that Minnie is still around.
And as a matter of fact I shall be reunited with her in September!
So that's it for now folks! Until next time!!!!

A day late Flashback Friday

So I completely forgot to post these yesterday so we shal pretend that's it's still Flashback Friday. Also happy late 60th anniversary to Disneyland!!

I have been wanting to scrap these photos for quite some time but I didn't know if any other copies existed so I kept putting it off. I thought I was told before that they were the only copies but I finally asked and discovered that there was another set and the negatives still existed. So I went ahead and made up a couple layouts. And since yesterday was the official 60th anniversary of Disneyland, I decided to pick a couple of celebratory pictures from Disney World. And now for my first layout.
From when the Castle became a giant Birthday cake!! Now not everyone is a big fan of the birthday cake, in fact most people hated it and many people canceled wedding photo shoots because of it. However, at the young age of 8, I was in awe. And it being my first time seeing the castle, I thought it was fantastic. The papers and embellishments all came from my Scraptastic kit, Celebration. Naturally something called Cellebration is perfect for something as big as a 25th anniversary and a castle covered as a birthday cake! And in case you were curious, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be there in 2021 for the 50th anniversary!
I also got a second layout done from my very first trip in 1997.
This is my sister and I meeting Sleeping Beauty for the first time. Back in the day, she used to meet in her blue dress, which I happened to like much better then her pink one she meets in now. For this layout I used Simple a Stories Enchanted. I thought a collection made for princesses would be perfect for meeting a princess!
Anywho so I suppose I should get back to work now. Gotta do something every once and a while!
Until next time!!

July Stack-a-Holic challenge.

Good morning everyone! After a very slow scrapping month in June, I'm back and better then ever! I have been having so much fun scrapping my little heart away and hopefully that momentum will continue.
Before I get to the layout, has everyone seen the pictures of Shanghai Disneyland? Omg it looks amazing!! It even has its own Pirate themed area! All I know is that's once it opens I need go get to Shanghai at some point in my life!
Apeaking of Disney, we are just two months away from San Antonion/ Disneyland adventure! Just need to make some reservations and buy photo pass and we will be all set! Plus I really need to buy the supplies I need to make this really cool project as a souviner from Disney.
Anywho on to business. This month I once again participated in DCWV stack a holic sketch challenge. And here is the sketch this month.
At first I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go with. I love the sketch but didn't know what pictures I wanted to use. But then the other day it started to come together. I was going through pictures thing to find something else when I found my inspiration. And here is my layout.
A couple weeks ago, I saw this paper and just knew it would be perfect for all of our adventures we take into the woods. This stack is called DCWV Green Stack. I absolutely love it and can't wait to use it with my other pictures of woodland creatures.
And you see those little deer on the top? I made those using my Cricut machine. I can't believe I am have gone this long without using it. Now it seems like I use it for every layout! I can't wait to buy more cartridges for it. I already have a huge list written up with ones I want!
So that's it for today. Not sure if I will get any scrapping done because I do have to go to work at some point. But I will be back here for sure to show you wonderful people more layouts that I have been working on!
Until next time!!

June Stack-A-Holic Challenge

Hey there gang! I told you I was going to do some scrapping today and I sure did! I only got two layouts done but it felt good to get something done finally. I'm just going to share one for now though and that's this month's challenge from DCWV. Here is the sketch for this month.

And here is my take on the sketch.

For the layout I used DCWV Citrus Stack and also DCWV Pet Stack. Instead of using three photos, I used 2 a quote by Snoopy. It says "Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancements." Belle and Jasmine spend most of their day trying to be like people so I thought this was a perfect quote. Especially since in these pictures they are lying down with a pillow and a blanket.
Another change I did was instead of the circle of words, I took different phrases and scattered them in the corner. My fur babies sure are spoiled but they are certainly loved! Even as I type this, they are sprawled out taking over about half of our California King Size bed!
That's all I have for now. But I shall be back soon.
Until next time!!

Hey gang!

Sorry it's been so long but life just gets in the way. But I'm back now but no layouts to share today just a little update on me.
Truth is I haven't scrapped in a couple weeks. I applied for to work at the Disney Store which would of been a dream come true. But it didn't come true. And because of this, i became sad and really didn't feel like doing things Disney. But the past is in the past and it's time to move on. I'm off on Thursday and have some new scrap goodies to look forward to play with.
Second off, our TV died. At first it was sad but now I look at it as a blessing. Instead of sitting indoors becoming zombies we have been going out doing things. Mainly fishing. And it's been a ton of fun. And it turns out I'm pretty good at it. Here is a fish I caught this past Saturday.
We didn't measure it but we guess about 15 inches or so.
I also got my hair dyed for the first time and it looks fancy if I do say so myself.
It's hard to tell in the picture but the bottom half is red. The top half is my natural blonde color.
And to show I'm back in the Disney spirit, I got a pair of the new Disney Vans. I ended up getting the Princess ones though I think the Villians ones are next on my list.
We also went Strawberry picking yesterday and that was a blast. Here are some pictures of that fun time.

So that's it for now. Like I said I plan to do some scrapping Thursday and will have some layouts to share!
Until next time!!

May Stack-A-Holic challenge

Hey everyone! Time has been slipping past me and I just kept forgetting to come back and share someone of my layouts I did for National Scrapbook Day! So one of them was of course based off DCWV sketch of the month. Here is the sketch.
I stayed pretty true to the sketch but did need to tweak things a little bit. Here is my layout.
For this I used DCWV Old World Stack. I also used some Washi and assorted Alphas from my stash. Instead of the honeycombs, I opted to use Mickey heads instead! I wanted to make sure I used different patterns just like in the sketch. I loved how there was a lot of different patterns used but yet they all went together.
Well that's it for now. I'm sure I will be back soon.
Until next time!!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!!

Hello everyone! As you can see from the title today is National Scrapbook Day!! I had today off from work so I could scrapbook and boy did I! So far in the past two days I have gotten 7 layouts done!! And I'm currently working on another one. But I wanted to check in with you happy peppy people and share what I have been working on.
This layout comes from a challenge in the Disney Scrapbook group I am in. The challenge was to use paints, mists and other messy things on the layout. I first though of Stitch because he is such a destructive, but cute, little guy. I choose this picture because there is nothing like a cone of ice cream after being destructive!
However I needed something more just some inks on a paper. So I went with Simple Stories Say Cheese and Say Cheese II for some embellishments. Since this was a magic shot I wanted to use papers and embellishments that reflected the fun photo.
Well that's it for now. Still have some scrapping to do!
Until next time!!

Hey remember me!!

Hey there everyone!! Terribly sorry I haven't been around. Just one thing after another and next thing I knew it's nearly May!! Please forgive my absence.
See you just can't resist little Stitch! You have no soul otherwise.
So I have worked on a couple layouts but I must confess that though I started the month strong, it did not end well. I only ended with 11 layouts for the month. Pretty sad seeing as which I went a week straight getting one done a day.
But I do have something to share.
This comes from April's Scraptastic Kit, I Lived. I really loved the colors and thought it would be perfect for Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. And this was the evening of the wedding where we challenged each other on this game. So I had a clever moment with the title! Naturally I lost though because Michael Always does a fantastic job with these games!
Anywho so Saturday is National Scrapbook Day! And I have the whole day off for it!! Over on the Disney scrapbook board I am apart of there are a ton of challenges for that day and hopefully I can hit them rough out the week and therefore have something fantastic to share with you lovely folks!
It's going to be super exciting! Well that's it for now. I should get back to work.
Until next time!!

April Stack-A-Holic Challenge.

Hey there gang!! I am here once again. I know I promised that I would write last week but it was a chaotic week. So better late then never. I'm here to show off my submission for DCWV stack-a-Holic challenge. Here is the sketch.
When I first saw it I admit I wasn't inspired right away with it. I kept putting it off because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it yet. Then the thought bubbles finally came to me last night. And here is what I came up with.
Originally I was planning to use photos from Enchanted Tales with Belle but didn't have the photos I wanted. But I stuck with the same theme and went with Be Our Guest.
The papers I used were actually from two different stacks, Once Upon A Time and Old World. I love how easily they combined with each other. Normally I'm too scared to combine different stacks because I'm terrible at matching but in my paper bin these two stacks were next to each other and there was an OMG moment!
The background paper was from Old World but I really wanted to use the Once Upon A Time somewhere on the paper as well as the castle. But I wasn't feeling using the entire sheet as the background.  So I got fancy and combined the two.
Such a fancy castle!
I also wanted to add some glitter to the page.
I went through and outlined the "O" and the "A" with some Brushed Pewter  Tim Holtz Distressed Sickle. Kind of hard to see from the picture but I promise it has a nice sparkle to it!
So that's it for now. I still have plenty more to update you guys with so stay tune.
Until next time!!

Oh hey there!

First let me say I hope everyone had an amazing Easter!!
So I must confess that I was a complete bum for the month of March. I ended up only getting 10 layouts completed for the month. March just seemed to fly by and what little spare time I had I was just exhausted.  However April I have started out strong and already have 4 layouts done! So without further ado here is what I have been working on!
This was using Simple Stories Enchanted. I started out knowing that I wanted to incorporate pink and blue into the layout, since that's what the fairies fought over. Then from there I picked out papers and embellishments that just jumped out at me. Up next is a 2 page layout I worked on.

Both I once again used Simple Stories Enchanted. I just love how these are perfect for Princess photos. These actualy are from Princess Fairy Tale Hall. I found embellishments that added that extra bit of pop needed but yet let the photos speak for themselves.
Well that's it for now. I should stop by later this week with some more layouts I worked on. This weekend is Comicon and I can't wait! This time I am dressing up and it's going to be amazing. Even Michael is going to dress up! Super epic!!
Until next time!

Elephants and Zebras and Okapis... Oh my!?!

Ok so maybe that doesn't sounds as impressive as "Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!" But it sure got your attention! Though it was a strange assortments of critters so it might still be impressive.
First off Happy Ultimate Pi day! For those not familiar  with any of that Pi is of course 3.14, which is today's date. Now once every century, the next numbers in the sequence appear as the date so 3.1415. Now for super duper ultimate fun at 9:26 will be the next set of numbers in the sequence so 3.1415926.  Pretty spiffy huh?
Now you have learned something for the day so back to our Safari critters.
All of these layouts were with Bo Bunny Safari which I can't tell you enough how much I absolutely love!
And here are some close ups so you can enjoy the details of this line
And now for Some Zebras.
And another close up of the amazing details.
And last but not least The mystical Okapi.
We got pretty lucky on our Safari and was able to see him because normally during the day they are hiding. And here is some detail from the layout.
Well that's it for now. So far for the month I know I have 10 layouts done. Trying to make it so I have a layout done for each day this month so I'm almost caught up!
Until next time!!

DCWV March Stack-a-Holic challenge

Hello hello! See I told ya I'm on a roll this month! Go me!! Our anniversary on Tuesday went fantastic. We had Outback for dinner which of course was delicious! Love me some shrimp and steak!! Yum yum!
Anywho, today I am here to share my layout for this month's DCWV challenge. Here is the sketch.
And here is my take on it.
The papers I used were DCWV Old World. I also used some embellishments from Simple Stories Say Cheese and Say Cheese II.
These photos are actualy from our very first trip in September 2010. I was looking for a different photo and stumbled upon these. As soon as I saw them I knew that these pictures would work well for this sketch. Instead of having several small photos, I ended up using two bigger photos and fill in with some embellsihments. I made sure to pick little phrases that were fun since that's what these photos are of fun!
I also got a chance to use some fancy scissors for the first time to cut some of the papers.
Well that's it for now! I do have some other layouts to share but that shall share another day.
Until next time!!

525600 have passed...

Good morning everyone! One year ago today, and almost down to the minute as I write this, Michael and I were standing at Sunrise Terrece in Wilderness Lodge saying "I Do". It's been an amazing year and boy did it go fast! So Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband, Michael, and too many many more!!

Of course our first anniversary couldn't go without having something to do with Disney. This past Sunday we went to Disney On Ice! I have never been before and it was so much fun!
Me with my sweet Olaf snow one holder.
Here is the grand finale when everyone comes out!
And afterwards we went to dinner to a buffet where they were serving, among other things, crawfish. I never had one so naturally I had to try it but first a little fun.
He was trying to visit his crab and shrimp friends.
Such a goofball!
Anywho, as promised here are the last few layouts from my wedding album. The first anniversary is actualy the paper anniversary. So my gift to Michael was this completed album.
Here is the family watching the ceremony. For this I used DCWV Once Upon a Time.
And here is the family at the end of the ceremony. Here I used Simple a Stories Say Cheese and Say Cheese II. Love that the added a second addition to the Say Cheese line.
Here I used my October Scraptastic Kit Heart It Races.
And the final layout which I also placed as the final layout of the album.
Once again I used DCWV Once Upon a Time. I also used a few different Thickers from my stash to create the title, which I thought was fitting to the end of my Fairty Tale Wedding Album. I added the ribbon at the bottom and some gems since that Aqua was the color theme.
Well that's all! Don't fret I still have tons of photos to scrap of the rest of this adventure!
Until next time!!
