You've Got A Friend in Me

Hey there gang! Happy First Day of Spring! I don't know about where you guys are but here in Maryland it is snowing! We are expected about 14 inches over the next two days. Fun times!  Sebastian is excited!

Sorry it's been a while. Michael has come down with the flu so he has been in quarantine while I spray the house every 5 minutes. Fun times!
Since he has been in quarantine, I have been spending my evenings/nights scrapping. And so far have been kicking butt. I have made a goal for myself to move up in the standings for Calvinball this week. Those ladies there are amazing so I gotta do some serious scrapping this week!

For now I have been focusing on scrapping photos of Sebastian being a cowboy when he was just a few months old.  So I have been using all of the same lines for these lines. I have been using Carta Bella Toy Box, Carta Bella Cowboy Countries and DCWV Little Mister. And here are my layouts.

I have a stack of photos that my goal is to scrap this week so fingers cross it gets done!
Until next time!

Layouts and paper confetti fun!

Hey gang! March has been a great month for scrapping so far! Already have a total of 19 layouts done! Huge thanks to Calvinball and Shimelle's Clear the Desk Class for motivating me to get layouts done.

Clear the Desk may be done but I have combined all 4 kits and been able to get a ton of fun layouts completed. And whats awesome is it's such a great class to redo and start with completely new kits. Great way to use up the old stash!

Here are some of my layouts from just this week.

Such a great feeling being able to make dents into the two main album's I would like to complete this year.

Gotta go continue playing in paper confetti!

Until next time!!

In a blink of an eye...

Before you have your first child, people often make the comment that time seems to just fly by once they are born. Often you roll you eyes and go yeah right. And then you have you have your first kid and qhicklq realize the truth to that statement. In a blink of an eye it seems time has just flown by. Yesterday was Sebastians second birthday. It's hard to believe that not only has 2 years have passed but that there was an even a time before him. It's like the space time continuum alters significantly after a kid is born.

We made it a birthday weekend and as you can see sebastian had a ton of fun!

I finished my third kit for the Clear the Desk challenge And managed to get 6 layouts out of it! This month I also joined Calvin all which has been fun. It has really been challenging me to get layouts done!
Here is the kit I made.

And the layouts I created from it .

That's it for now! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Until next time! And

Another kit down!

Hello everyone! Can't believe it is March already. And even more surprising, Sebastian is going to be in 2 in just two days! 😱😱 Where has the time gone??? This time last year we were arriving in Disney World to begin his epic first birthday celebration! So much fun!

For the second kit in Shimelle's Clear the Desk class, we were to take papers and embellishments from two different collections and put them together. Here is what I came up with.

I took pieces from Crate Paper Little You (boy) and Shimelle Little By Little. I liked the soft colors of the Little You papers that of course are perfect for baby photos but wanted to add in some pops of color to really make things stand out a little more. Little by Little had those perfect colors while still maintaining that look of a baby album.
And here are the three layouts I created using these pieces.

The photo of Sebastian under the UV lights was such a difficult photo to scrap but I really like how the papers worked with it. Its a very dark photo using all blue and purple as the colors but somehow the papers were able to brighten it a bit so you are able to tell what the photo is.

Michael is in charge of the journaling for the last layout because I felt it was important to have his thoughts and feelings included for such an important moment of our lives.

That's is for now. Today I will be finishing painting the playroom which has been fun but a lot of work.
Here is what it looks like. And I have a ton of fun stuff to add to the walls plus going to reorganize how his toys are set up. Sebastian is going to love it!
Until next time!!
