First day of the Fall Folks Festival

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone had a fantastic day!! We are wrapping the first day of the Fall Folks Featival. Can hear the truck pulls in the background. Can't imagine living right next to it because we are a good distance away. Found some goodies today. 

We love collecting Christmas village pieces. We found a bunch today but managed to narrow it down to just two pieces. We really don't have any room left but we just can't pass up awesome pieces! The city hall has fiber optics and changes a bunch of different colors. 

Also picked up this little guy. There was another Mickey piece but he was missing his poor little nose. 

Also found this little crate full of ribbons. We counted them and there was about 90 of them and some of them had a few different colors on the cardboard. I love to include them on some of my layouts and there was quite a few neat ones included. And also I'm gonna make an attempt to decorate the crate. I have seen quite a few cool things on Pinterest so I'm really interesting in giving it a shot! 

Disney Uno! And Tinkerbell even lights up the fireworks. 

An entire set of encyclopedias. There are 3 decent size boxes. Michael wasn't too happy with them but we can put them up on the bookshelf and feel sophisticated! Also, I can make an attempt at doing cool things with them! 

Also found a basket and some wooden crates. Michael already has some plans with them. Also bought some apples so I can make some applesauce. Michael doesn't brag about much things I cook but he sure does brag about my applesauce! 

We needed some honey for dinner so we picked some fresh honey up!

Our last goodie was something Michael was very excited about. He loves to collect coins. He bought 1943 steel pennies and some Mercury dimes. And they were all in pretty good condition, especially how old they are! 

That's everything so far. Tomorrow we have a few more places to hit up and also the steam engine pulls are tomorrow! 

Even the puppies are having a great time! I'm pretty sure they have had a pancake a piece and some sausage. Oh and some steak! They really love coming to see Michael's grandma! 

And one more exciting thing today. One of my Halloween layouts was picked to be one of the ones featured on the DCWV blog! Go check it out along with all the other amazing things people created!

Magic kingdom!

Good morning from the Fall Folks Festival! Today concludes all my previous layouts so from here on out it will be all new stuff! 

Everything here is just basic cardstock. I don't think there can be a bad photo taken of that amazing castle! 

Paper here is DCWV either Sweet Tangerine or Sunday Afternoon. Sorry I don't have my stuff to check but I know for sure it's one of those two! Festival of Fantasy is the best parade I have ever seen! And Michael and I were fortunate to be at its big premiere! As soon as I heard that March 9th was when it was set to begin, I knew right away where I was going to be at 3:00pm. We got to Magic Kingdom and of course the place was packed!! We managed to find a pretty good spot in front of the castle. Unfortunately, it happened to be in direct sunlight. If you notice in some of my wedding photos I was a little (a lot) on the red side. Well that's how. That 45 minutes of being at the Magic Kingdom super burned me. I'm like a sponge absorbing the sun and all it has to burn! 

Anywho, I think it was totally worth it!  I was working a camera in both hands and managed to get about 2000 photos! And now for your viewing pleasure... It's the Festival of Fantasy!! Actually it's only part of it, still have more to scrap.

DCWV Once Upon a Time. When we figured out what day we were getting married, I knew right away the Be Our Guest was where I was eating my wedding dinner. So on my 180 day mark I was up at 5:30am computer all ready, puppies set for the time being and was ready to go! And I was very fortunate to get the exact day and time that I was looking for. Pixie dust! I was in love with this place. My favorite movie coming to real life! 

This paper comes from a Disney pack. Of course we had to try the Gray Stuff and it indeed was delicious! 

DCWV. Those hoodies I made and so many people loved them! Even earned me a pixie dusted Dole Whip which was delicious! 

All these I don't know their origin.

So that's all I have worked on folks! Have no fears I have about a million more photos to scrap! I think the grand total of pictures we took for this close to three week adventure was about 10,000. Of course I'm not scrapping all of those but there are quite a few pictures left to go. Some adventures we haven't even touched at all yet! 

Getting ready to head to enjoy some Fall Folks Festival! If we find any awesome goodies I will make sure to share. So far when we were heading to the grocery store we found something interesting. 

Quite possible the best yard sale sign I have seen.  Made me giggle and of course I needed a picture!

Eek-a-Boo!

I knew my mom was sending a bunch of Halloween papers and embellishments to help me with my mini album so I didn't really bother looking at stuff this year. However, one day I was picking up some stuff I needed at Joanns and saw the DCWV Eek-a-Boo paper out of the corner of my eye. Upon inspection, I knew I needed it in my life. The next day I went back for the Halloween/Fall cork pack, cardstock and corrugated papers that went with it... I regret nothing. Last night I thought of the perfect layout and away to work I went with it. 

I have always wanted those potion colors but could never find them in black and gray. It was sparkle purple and orange potion bottles everywhere which don't go with our theme of haunted house. But one day on a scrapbook supply run, my husband spotted these amazing bottles that were the colors we had been looking for! 

When I seen this double double toll in trouble paper I knew it would go perfect the bottles! 

Once I was done with this layout, I still felt like crafting but didn't feel like doing a layout. It was already 12:30am and I didn't have any layouts that jumped out and say "scrap me now!" So I decided to attempt something I had never done before...

A Halloween tag! Seeing that "Beware" paper I knew that would be perfect for a tag. I added some of the corrugated paper and made up some bats and before I knew it things were coming together quite nicely! 

That's all I got for now folks! We are on the road right now but have no fears, the Magic Kingdom layouts wil be up tomorrow sometime. I will also share some of my favorite moments of the Fall Folks Festival.
